Sarasota Beach Neighborhood on Siesta Key
Located just north and north west of Siesta Key Beach, the land and developments are all part of the subdivision known as Sarasota. While the condos here are typically listed in the MLS by their development name, the single family residences that are nestled in the area are more likely to be listed as being located in the subdivision of Sarasota Beach.
Some of the streets you will find in this community include - Canal Road, Calle De Puru, Avenida Del Norte, Avenida Del Mare, Avenida De Mayo, Calle Del Otono, Tenacity Lane, Beach Road and Calle De Costa Rica.
Many of the homes find themselves located in the heart of Siesta Key. When looking at aerial photographs of Siesta Key you can make out a heart shaped pattern made up by a real estate development on the center of the island. This formation is a result of a drainage canal that was dredged around the community. Surges from storms would flood the island so the canals were created to provide the earth needed to elevate many of the home sites as well as providing storm drainage for the center of the island.
Waterfront homes in the community do have limited access to the Intracoastal Waterway via this canal, however only smaller watercraft can fully take advantage of this access. If you are looking for a waterfront property with a location that will allow you the luxury of having a large sailboat or a fishing boat moored in the back yard of your new home - you should consider real estate on Roberts Point, Hidden Harbor, Siesta Cove or Riegels Landing. All of these developments can support such a vessel.
