Casey Key Homes
Most Casey Key homes for sale bay or beach front, but there are also non-waterfront properties available as well. The architecture you'll find in Casey Key includes modern, Key West, Old Florida and Spanish-Mediterranean style homes.
Unlike a lot of areas along the Florida Coast, the Casey Key real estate market consists mostly of single family homes. There are just over 500 residences on the island, in addition to some older mom-and-pop beach front motels and low density condos that have been grandfathered under old building codes. Casey Key is unique from many parts of Florida, as the island currently does not allow large high rise condo developments in the area.
Casey Key meets Siesta Key to the north, and extends to Venice in the south. The island is easily accessible by two bridges, including a charming old-time swing bridge at the north end.
Recreation on the island is easy to find in Casey Key. Residents and visitors enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, snorkeling, playing volleyball, and strolling along the powdery white sand beaches of Casey Key. There is also a 22-acre beach park on the south end of the island that hosts a popular drum circle. Locals gather on the beach, form a circle and play a variety of musical instruments.
