The National Association of Realtors (NAR) changed in their policy regarding a Realtor's use of the acronym MLS (multiple listing service). There were several changes but in a nutshell they don't want Realtors using "MLS" on their website and in their website domain names because they contend that the Realtor is possibly duping the public by pretending to be the MLS. This policy only affects members of the NAR or Realtors.
How does this affect you the consumer? Ultimately, non Realtor websites like Trulia, Zillow and Homegain will have a competitive advantage over Realtors.
