Bird Key Florida Homes

The Bird Key real estate area is much admired by serious boaters. The canal front and bay front homes on the island can accommodate both large yachts and sailboats, and the bay front estates offer unparalleled views of the water and Downtown Sarasota. Bird Key also has its own private yacht club.

Bird Key was developed in 1959 by luxury real estate development firm, Arvida Realty Sales, Ltd. Most of the homes in Bird Key were constructed in the late 1950's and 1960's, and many of these older properties have been torn down to make way for fresh new abodes.

Bird Key homes that are situated away from the water are naturally less expensive than waterfront houses, and there are no condos located on Bird Key.
