Absolutely, positively the best beach! Very laid back and relaxed. Not pretentious like Naples and Palm Beach. Everyone there is happy and looking to enjoy life.
Some of the beach condos are old and dumpy. They need to be torn down for newer, more modern buildings.
Absolutely love it! Come visit and spend your money. ;-)
The beach here is just the best - ultra-white & powdery sand - gorgeous! The Village is fun and most residences are within walking or biking distance. Some of the nicest homes in the area are located here.
Siesta in general can be a bit crowded and sometimes kind of touristy...
Siesta is a can't-miss destination for visitors and a great place for seasonal and year-round residents too.
Great, extremely under valued properties and location on the world's best beach, I have lived and sold there for years
Older Condo Buildings in prime locations, very few newer buildings in this area, so Buyers must rely on remodeled units in older communities.
No Better place in Southwest Florida than Siesta Key. www.kelleypropertygroup.com
The beach and the water are gorgeous. No one can deny that.
It is way too crowded and dense. There is a mish mosh of unsavory characters on the beach at times.
I like Siesta Key beach because of the beauty but it is way too crowded. There are just too many people. The noise is not soothing. The traffic and parking are enough to make you not want to go. I couldn't imagine living there. For these reasons we decided to buy on Longboat Key.
-Powder White Sand -Fantastic Fireworks show from the beach on 4th of July -Gorgeous Sunsets -Great village center -Olaf's Ice Cream in the village center -Happy Hour in the village -Excellent boating -Whether renting or buying there are endless housing options from large luxury homes to 1 bedroom condos, there's plenty to choose from.
If you're only going for the day, parking can be difficult, but if you get there early, usually before about 9am, you should be able to find a spot. Another great option is to go a little later in the day and watch a gorgeous sunset. The parking lot has usually started to clear out by 3 or 4pm. Of course the best option is to just stay on the Key and you won't have to bother with the public parking lot.
As Tampa residents Siesta Key is absolutely our favorite getaway spot! We've spent 10 of the last 15 years on Siesta Key during the July 4th week, plus dozens of weekend trips. Second only to enjoying the great beach, one of our favorite things to do is rent a boat from CB Outfitters and spend the day cruising the inter-coastal. We usually stay at the Palm Bay Club in one of the Tower units because the beach is literally right at your door step, but we've also rented a number canal front homes within walking distance of the beach which is great option if you're bringing/renting a boat.
Absolutely one of the best beaches in the world. You walk on velvet sand, beautiful and breathtaking sunsets, simply an amazing beach. Best in US. Volleyball, beach sports, concessions...Siesta Key has it all. A must see / visit place.
Parking can be tough, but worth it.
Go, enjoy, take sunscreen. A fabulous experience.
Growing up right over the bridge of Siesta Key was a complete gift. Honestly there have been very few changes to the charm and calm free feeling of Siesta Key over the years. The sand is crystal white, the water is absolutely gorgeous. The long walks and sunsets absolutely heal your life. Everything you need is right in the charming little village, excellent restaurants, cute shops, grocery, hardware, beautiful homes, unaltered nature, peaceful lovely safe place to live.
75 percent of the year the road traffic is no issue at all. During one or two weeks of season it is a little wait to get off bridge. But the sandals, bare-feet, bicycles, and smiles are worth the wait.
Great place to live!
The sun, beach, ambiance, people, clear water, long walking beach, water views and overall sense of relaxation that this place puts you in. Siesta Key is majestic.
hmmmmmmm....can't think of many. Too much sun? (:
We have been vacationing on Siesta Key for over 10 years and absolutely love it. We just started serious looking to purchase a condo on the key. The beach here is one of the best we have ever seen. Everyone is so pleasant. The village is a fun place to eat and drink. We can't say too many good things about Siesta Key.
The beach is absolutely gorgeous. One of the best you will ever see. The relaxed vibe of the island is very appealing.
Getting off and on the island in the busy winter season can be a bit frustrating.
In the mid 1990's we lived on Seaplume drive on Siesta Key. We lived within a 10 minute walk to Siesta Key beach. It was fabulous to walk over to the beach for a morning walk or an evening stroll to watch the sunset. It was also great living close to Siesta Key village where you could grab a drink and meal with friends.
