Pros:
Close to Siesta Key beach. The homes and neighborhoods are very nice. Lots of sidewalks and bike paths.

Summary:
We love living in Turtle Rock. It is gated and safe. Our house is newer. We love the quick access to the beach on Siesta Key. My husband is a runner and loves all of the sidewalks.

Pros:
Palmer Ranch is very well laid and organized. There is consistency with similar type homes. You won't find mansions next to mobile homes. That is what we love about Palmer Ranch. Also, it is a short drive to Siesta Key beach. The mall and movie theatres are right around the corner too.
Cons:
Lacks the charm that you will find in older neighborhoods.
Summary:
We love it here. We also love other areas of Sarasota...like west of the trail.
