Reviews for Lakewood Ranch Real Estate
Recent Ratings & Reviews
Homes are large and the prices are low. Golf communities are prominent out here. It's nice to get away from the seasonal traffic and into a more secluded location. Great wildlife--exotic birds and alligators are seen regularly!
A bit far from the city life in Sarasota, but close to Main St. Lakewood Ranch and not far from downtown Bradenton, either.
Lakewood Ranch is great place to live if you're ok with a 20 minute drive to the city life and beaches. Large homes and big yards at a price you just can't get in Sarasota.
New homes
All of the homes are basically the same. No charm. Don't get drunk and try to find your house. You might go to the wrong one. Stepford wives
I used to live in Lakewood Ranch but have moved to Sarasota. I initially loved my new home but they lack charm. Too many soccer moms ruling the roost. Glad to be out of there.
Love having a new home with high ceilings, lots of natural light, fabulous outdoor living area with pool and lake views. LWR is laid out very well. Lots of sidewalks. Love the shopping and restaurants here and close by on University Parkway. I-75 is close.
Distance from the beach.
We used to live on Lido Key in St. Armands Tower and loved it but grew tired of an old building and condo living. We love living in Lakewood Ranch.
Best place to live, learn, work, play and worship in Southwest Florida. Can't think of a more fun and relaxing place to live. Great construction, neighborhood layouts, options, amenities and lifestyle. People from all over the country with varied interests, lots of fun organizations, groups, and clubs to participate in. Great walking, jogging, and recreation options. A truly wonderful master planned community with something for everyone and then some.
Not many, August can get a little warm, but that is what your pool is for. Gator or two.
If you are moving to Florida, Southwest Florida is the place to choose. For a full life, Lakewood ranch is the choice in Southwest Florida. Prices are great. We loved our 8 years on the Ranch and recommend it whole heartedly.
Very well planned community with many things to offer. Homes are newer. Close to big box stores, great access to I-75 and Tampa. Many families and year round residents. Homes tend to hold value compared to other areas near by. Residents love this community and it is beautiful.
Many streets and homes look the same. Quite a drive to the beach, downtown, and cultural events. Lakewood Ranch restaurants and nightlife tend to be a bit sleepy.
Lakewood Ranch is a great place to get away from the seasonal traffic but close enough to things that everything is within a 20-30 minute drive. It is an easy commute to Tampa and relatively close to amazing beaches. There is s great deal of growth in the community with many opportunities to build as well as purchase beautiful existing homes.
New house!!! Very well laid out commmunity, good schools, lots of kids, sidewalks, parks, bike paths and close to shopping.
Not convenient to the beach or water.
We moved from a flower street West of the Trail in Sarasota. We liked it over there but didn't like the traffic. Our kids can now play in the front yard without worrying about cars speeding by. We also love having a newer home. The old homes/neighborhoods are charming but it is nice to have our weekends back from home repair and upkeep.
We love having everything right here. Shopping, food, fun, golf, schools are close by. We are also only about 20 minutes from downtown Sarasota and 30 minutes from the beach. Well worth it to get the type of home we wanted.
We can get to Siesta Key beach in about 30 minutes. Some of our friends find it too far so they just use their pool.
My family and I moved here 2 years ago and absolutely love it. We bought in the Country Club.
